The Government of Canada has been investing in the young adults of the ALC since 1990. It has evaluated the work of the ALC and has decided that its investment produced the desired return and continues investing to this day. The investment in human capital saves tax payers money by changing the dependency dollar to a productive dollar. This increases the tax base and builds healthy productive young communities.

The Government of Saskatchewan has been investing in the ALC since 1997. The return in human capital saves the province a sizable amount of money. The Province understands that investing a little now brings larger returns later. Investing nothing now or delaying the investment, will bring huge losses later in the form of income support, health issues, law and order issues, etc.
